Guests at the Flying L can choose from an almost endless list of things to do, which range from indoor amusement to a full range of activities utilizing the Flying L’s miles of trail-laden grounds. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
• Break 100 on the 18-hole championship golf course.
• Mosey over to the equestrian center for horseback riding lessons, trail rides and rodeo events.
• Cool down at the Lone Star Lagoon water park,* which includes a lazy river, wave pool, “figure-eight” waterslide and waterfalls.
• Gather ‘round the campfire in “Ghost Town,” Flying L’s inventive recreation of a once-lively stagecoach depot, for barn dancing, line dancing, s’mores and nightly western entertainment.
• Learn to rope a steer (or maybe your favorite cowboy or cowgirl) at a calf scramble.
• With all the children’s activities available, such as a petting zoo, nature hikes, horseback riding lessons, hay rides, crafts and scavenger hunts, families find it easy to reconnect and share experiences they’ll treasure for a lifetime.
With tubing on the Guadalupe River, climbing on-board for a hayride, learning to rope a steer or watching a rodeo, the Flying L offers more activities than spines on a cactus.
